Firm History

CasterFrame, P.C., was formed in July of 2008. Our team has over 80 years of combined experience in public accounting. It was our common vision to create a firm where expertise and client service are second to none. Since inception, CasterFrame, P.C., has continued to grow in client volume due mainly to referrals from existing clients, a fact of which we are extremely proud.

Stephen A. Caster, CPA

Steve graduated with honors from the University of Northern Iowa earning a B.A. in accounting and a minor in economics. He started his career with the Des Moines office of a national accounting firm, first as an auditor and then transferring to the tax department. There he worked mainly with entrepreneurs in the service, retail, and real estate industries. He also gained extensive knowledge and experience in the taxation of S corporations, Limited Liability Companies, C corporations and high wealth individuals.

Prior to CasterFrame, P.C., Steve was the co-founder of another local CPA firm and was both its administrative as well as its technical tax partner.

Steve is a member of the tax division of the AICPA and a member of the Iowa Society of CPAs.

Trish Hopkins
Vice President

Trish is the firm’s administrative partner and has the responsibility for the day-to-day operations. In addition, she has extensive knowledge with payroll and QuickBooks and provides monthly accounting and payroll services to clients, as well as assists in the preparation of individual tax filings.

Trish has worked with financial service providers since 1988, first starting in banking, mortgage loans, and then public accounting. Prior to CasterFrame, P.C., Trish was the controller for a local accounting firm.

Trish is an associate member of the Iowa Society of CPAs.

Jeff M. Frame, CPA

Jeff's career consists of over 30 years of public accounting experience at various firms in the Greater Des Moines area. During that time, he has gained experience with many types of industries and entities. He specializes in retail and restaurant business operations and taxation.

Jeff is active with the Waveland Golf Association as a board member and past President; member of the Masons at Gnemoth Lodge and Za Ga Zig Shrine; West Des Moines Tax Forum member, and has been named Man of the Year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Jeff is a member of the AICPA as well as the Iowa Society of CPAs.
